My daughter (19) and grandson of 13 months and I are planning a trip for 4 days to San Antonio in August. I always like to find out about the out of the way restaurants that are not crowded with tourists. We love Mexican food. What is your favorite restaurant? e-mail: Grneydange@aol.com
Tom, Aside from the fact that I am a lifelong (36 years) San Antonio resident, I am also an employee of UTSA/The Institute of Texan Cultures. I was sooo excited to see you list our museum in the "must see" category. It seems to me that few locals know of our existence, and the ones that do seem to think it's a place for kids only. Kudos to you for spreading the word! As for our tourists, they do love us!

As a stranger to your city I welcome the insights from your pages. Too bad every city doesn't have something like this! Will let you know after the trip how well your suggestions worked out.

Interesting site. We share the same name as you can see. I was born in 1929 in N.J Father Austin Colgate Woodley. Grandafather, Thomas Ennis Woodley, English soapmaker, partner with Austin Colgate. Company name Peet Bros. as in Colgate Palmolive Peet. Wonder if we are related. I'm retired NYPD now living in Florida. Good Luck

this is a great site... the only recommendation that might be added are all the other events and dates during fiesta week... like maybe a fiesta calender or something.
Tom Great Website!! So informative for a tourist. Looking forward this summer , coming to San Antonio taking in the river walk, would like to know when there is Mariach Festival in San Antonio. Again you hve a fine website. Charlie Gearinger Ferederick, Md gearinger@erols.com Thanks for sharing your information!!!
Really great site. Other cities should have the same. It offers great suggestions - and from a local insider. Thanks! :-)
The finest site of its kind that I have encountered. As an occasional visitor to San Antonio, I recommend this site to anyone planning a visit to this great city. The information is invaluable.
What a great website! I lived in San Antonio for 18 years. I visit once or twice a year and this keeps me up to date.
Tom, Thanks for the guided tour of SA. I have lived in SA for 10 years of my life and know most all the places you mention and highly agree with your choices.
I'm going to San Antonio in a few months and I'll be reviewing this web prior to arrival.
